Kenneth Lien, MD

President and Co-Founder

Kenneth Lien is a physician trained in Allergy and Immunology and Internal Medicine, and a graduate of Yale University and the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He maintains a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he is deeply committed to helping the medically underserved of Alameda County and where he teaches medical residents from UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital of Oakland.

While in Mexico City in 2017, Kenneth was deeply moved by the many selfless volunteers who traveled far and wide across Mexico –taking long bus rides, and even hitchhiking– to assist in the earthquake relief efforts. He witnessed the resilience of communities in this time of crisis and despite having limited access to resources and medical care, and was inspired to co-found The Collective Human Spirit.  He believes in the unifying force of compassion, and collectively, how communities can create solutions and help fill gaps in medical care and beyond. He is motivated to help preserve our ancestral roots by providing medical care and health education to indigenous communities, from whom we still have much to learn.

In his free time, Kenneth enjoys time in nature, exploring energy healing, and traveling to sacred lands. He believes in living a life of purpose and setting aside time to pursue creative endeavors.
