Dia del Niño - Toy Drive

Help us send toys, games and some clothes to Union y Progreso in the municipality of Villa Flores, Chiapas, Mx.

Dia del Niño (Children's Day) takes place every year on April 30th in Mexico and even though it is not an official holiday it's a big deal! The day is meant to make kids feel special. Parents typically buy their children a gift and schools have celebrations for families to attend.

Our trip to Union y Progreso was more than 6 months ago but the memories remain and warm our hearts when we reminisce about the connections made. Knowing that most parents in Union y Progreso are not able to leave the town or get their kids a gift saddens us and we want to do something about it. We've seen first hand how something as small as a baseball or a doll can light up a kids face, and we feel that with your help we can send some cheer to Union y Progreso by the special day.

We are accepting gently used:

  • Toys for kids up to the age of 13

  • Clothing up to the age of 8

  • Spanish children's books

  • For examples or to purchase some check out our "Dia del Niño - Union y Progreso" list on Amazon.
